SD MESA SOFTBALL TEAM ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!1ST PLACE IN PCAC CONFERENCE
HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE THIS 2012 SEASON!! SD MESA SOFTBALL OLYMPIANS WON 1ST PLACE IN PACIFIC COAST ATHLETE CONFERENCE! THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED SINCE 1987. ALSO THE TEAM WENT 28-10 OVERALL WITH THE HIGHEST WINNING PERCENTAGE EVER AT MESA. WITH A .737% WINNING PERCENTAGE THEY ALSO WENT 12-3 IN LEAGUE. THIS TEAM HAD SO MANY GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND MET ALL THEIR GOALS.

It was the best week ever! Mesa Olympians took 1st place in PCAC Conference. Its been 25 years since 1987 Mesa has taking 1st Place! Coach Guidi is so proud of her team and is excited for playoffs. PLAY AS ONE! We hit .393 as a team overall and 1.14 ERA overall. Its been such an amazing season and we're not finish.
GAME DAY!! We have 2 more games left in conference. Today we play at Mesa vs. SW at 3p.m. Come cheer on the Olympians holding on to 1st place!
With only 3 games left Mesa Olympians are still in 1st place. Last week Mesa beat City for the fourth time this year. Laura Nelson received the win and the Olympians had some great hits. The next 2 weeks will be very busy. Next week Mesa is away at Palomar on Wed. April 11 with one game ahead of them. Than we need everyone to come out Fri. April. 13th for SOPHOMORE DAY! We have 4 great sophomores to come support. Becca Dawson moving on to Azusa Pacific to play, Kaeli Hunyady to Holy Names University to play, Gabby Naidas to Southern Oregon to get her degree, and Ciara Washignton will continue at Mesa to get her AA Degree. Also we have a CONGRATS! to Kelsey McGowan our redshirt Catcher who verballed to Sonoma State!
Each week keeps getting more and more exciting! Last week the Mesa Girls went 3-0 in league. They beat Grossmont 6 to 3 and beat IVC in a DH on Friday. The Olympians are still in 1st place with 4 conference games left. This week for Spring break Mesa is at City on Wed. @ 1pm Please come support! Also Becca Dawson received honorable mention for PCAC last week.
Last week Mesa went 1 and 2. Lost to SW and split with Glendale. The 1st game against Glendale Mesa's bats came alive and pitcher Laura Nelson was solid on the mound. Game 2 pitcher Vanessa Alvarez pitched a complete game. Carly Mitchell received Player of the Week for PCAC. This week Mesa has 3 away games Wed. at Grossmont and Fri. a DH at IVC. Mesa is still in 1st place!
As of Monday March 19th Mesa Olympians are ranked in Southern California #8 and in the State #18! Coach Guidi is so proud of her team!
Mesa had one of their BEST WEEKS this season. Beating City for the 3rd time this year placing Mesa one game ahead of Palomar for 1st place. Then the Olympians faced Palomar on Friday and were down 2-0 in the 4th and came alive with their bats to win 6-2. Mesa is now in 1st place and up 2 games!
